The Climate Smart Vegetable Pilot, implemented by Western Region Coastal Foundation (WRCF) in partnership with the Coastal Sustainable Landscape Project (CSLP) and TIKOLA Limited ran from September, 2017 to May, 2018. The project was implemented over a period of 9 months and was funded by the Department for International Development, DFID through the WRCF. The focus of the project was to enhance economic opportunities for women, improve food security, generate income for farmers and improve their resilience to climate change.
The purpose of the evaluation was to assess the progress made towards the achievement of the overall and specific objectives and the set indicators of the project. It was also to assess the sustainability, effectiveness, efficiency, impacts, outcomes, outputs, and relevance of the intervention as well as the conditions under which it can be replicated or scaled-up. It also looked at issues around project administration and provides lessons and recommendations.
